
A family hand me down recipe mum would make when we were little. I’ve tweaked it by using turkey bacon not ham. One if those recipes that is even better the next day hot or cold.
Serves 3-4 as a side or 2 as a main.
- 1/4 cabbage chopped
- 1 onion diced
- 2 rasher turkey bacon diced
- Sprinkle season-all spice
- Sprinkle sweet paprika
- 1 egg beaten
- Sprinkle garlic granules or 1tsp garlic minced
- 1ts ginger
- 1tsp salt reduced chicken stock powder
- Sprinkle parsley or thyme
- 15g butter
- 1tb evoo
Method
- Cut ingredients as listed.
- Toss all together in skillet/frypan and cook until cabbage is soft. Stir often as egg may stick. Add 1 tablespoon of water if that happens.
Can be served on its own or add sausages while cooking or protein of your choice by the side.
